Glenwood's 6th Annual Souper Bowl is in full swing! Letโ€™s tackle hunger by providing a warm bowl of soup and sandwiches to those in need. We are collecting high protein, hearty soups, high protein canned items such as tuna, chicken, and beans, and sandwich spreads like mustard, mayo, and ketchup. The drive ends Friday, February 9.

Glenwood Gators performed our "What a Wonderful World" Winter Concert today. Students sang songs and played instruments made from repurposed materials. Kudos to our music teacher, Mrs. Kayal, for a fantastic program and to our students for a wonderful performance!

Glenwood hosted its first Family STEM Night for 3rd and 4th graders on December 6th. Activities included wind tubes, Bristle Bots, and o-wing flyers. Students raced VEX robots Mario Kart-syle with the Millburn Middle School Robotics Club. Students and parents came together for an energizing and fun-filled night! Thanks to Mrs. Rider for organizing the event!

Walk-a-thon Fundraiser and Bridges Outreach: Glenwood Student Council led their third and fourth grade peers in packing 852 lunches that were donated to Bridges Outreach. The food was purchased with funds that were raised during our Walk-a-thon. Thanks to all who contributed, including our Student Council advisors and our PTO Outreach Committee Chairs.

Thanksgiving Food Drive 2023 This is the time of year when our school district comes together to support our local communities. This yearโ€™s demand is expected to be very high. We will collect for the Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, November 1-14. We kindly ask that you donate at least 2-3 items, of your choice, from your gradeโ€™s assigned food list. You may also donate items to the food pantry. Kindergarten and 1st Grade Gravy (canned or packets), Mac & Cheese, Boxed Desserts/Baking Mixes (please no Jello) 2nd and 3rd Grade Stuffing Mix, Instant Potatoes, Canned Corn 4th Grade Canned Green Beans, Canned Cranberry Sauce, Canned Yams Food Pantry Staples Rice, Nut Butters (peanut or almond), Canned Tuna or Chicken, Canned Soup with Protein Also, please send in CASH DONATIONS (no checks) to school with your food donation. CASH should be in an envelope labeled Thanksgiving Food Drive. Thank you for opening your heart, pantry and wallet for those less fortunate this holiday season.

On Monday our students were treated to an assembly with Mr. Dan Occhiogrosso for Red Ribbon Week. He dribbled balls and did tricks while discussing Substance Abuse Prevention, Anti-Bullying, Goal Setting / Achieving Dreams, Self-esteem and Physical Fitness. The presentation was sponsored by MMAC. Ask your children about it!
