Principal's Message
Dear Glenwood Families and Community,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Glenwood Elementary School. As I step into this role, I do so with deep respect for the strong partnership between the school, its families, and the surrounding community. I know that Dr. Jasin has been a beloved leader, and I recognize the foundation of excellence, collaboration, and care that has been established here. It is my privilege to continue that tradition while also bringing my own experiences and passion for education to Glenwood.
I have been a proud educator in the Millburn School District for the past 18 years. I have had the opportunity to serve as both a teacher and Instructional Supervisor, first at Wyoming School from 2007-2017 and then most recently as the Instructional Supervisor at Washington School since 2017. With over a decade of experience in school leadership, I have seen firsthand the incredible potential within each child and the invaluable role that families and the community play in shaping a child’s educational journey. I firmly believe that a child’s success is strengthened when schools, teachers and families work together, and I am committed to fostering an environment where parents and guardians feel welcome, valued, and engaged in their child’s learning experience.
The incredible support and involvement of Glenwood’s families and the high expectations you set for your children are reflected in the success of the students and the strong sense of pride within the community. I look forward to partnering with you to continue building a positive environment where every child feels encouraged, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
My philosophy as an educator is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and empowered. I am committed to ensuring that our school is a place where all voices are heard, inclusivity and collaboration are celebrated, and every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I am eager to connect with each of you and to learn more about the strengths, traditions, and hopes of the Glenwood community. Your insights, ideas, and feedback are invaluable, and I welcome the opportunity to work together alongside our dedicated educators in support of our students.
Our school-wide theme for the year is inspired by The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. This theme encourages all of us—students, staff, and families alike—to bring positive energy, support one another, and create a vibrant, connected school culture where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. As we board the “Energy Bus” together this year, I invite you to join us in spreading kindness, celebrating each other’s successes, and keeping our momentum moving forward with optimism and purpose. With every student, every day, we have the opportunity to recharge, inspire, and make this school year one of the most memorable yet. Wishing everyone a successful and rewarding new school year!
With enthusiasm,
Kerry Emmanouilidis
Principal, Glenwood Elementary School
